Starting a new business
Okay... finally... I just had to do this. Start my own business. I am excited and scared. Not scared that it will not work.... but rather scared because I am just too excited about it.
But let me tell you... I have no idea where to start. I ahve started where ever I could.. but I wish somebody could give a guiding hand so that what i have started can become bigger than my thoughts.
By the way this is one of my resolutions.
My business is pretty simple.... but I want to make sure I miss not a thing and make it happen.

JUST DO IT...

DEPENDANCY ON SALARY
I think for those who are self employed, they wonder why soem of us still rely on a salary. Wait anxiously or patiantly for payday.
I for one want to break out of that dependancy. Of that perfect reliabilty that a specific amount of money will be in my account on a specific day and time.
I want to have the guts to take the risks. Earn what i work for. Earn what my intelligence... or lack of it... can provide.
It is not an easy thng to do... but a risk worth taking.

Love and War... or Fear
At times, I wonder why I am with the one I love.
Because sometimes I feel like it is not love.
Its like fear to be alone. Fear to lose your love.
I think I need you more than I should.
And I am trying not to love more than i i want to.
And yet to love unrestricted is the ultimate freedom.
But why does my heart seek assuarance?
Why does my mind seek constant confirmation,
When you are here for me always. Loving me always,
Ya... love, why can't it just come by its own?
No fear, no doubts. Just love alone.

TREAT MONEY LIKE LOVE
Yeah, I was surprised when I heard that. Suze Orman said on OPrah that people treat their money as they would traet the people around them.
Mark, she did not say feel, but rather treat.
I am careful with money. Try to save and get out of debt. So I am always putting it where I would not lose, so does that mean that i treat people around me that way? Like I do not want to lose them. I try to have them in a space where they are safe and always accessible to me?
What about those who are giving? But yes... maybe it is true... but how do you explain somebody who just saves all the money they have?

THE RIGHT TO DISCRIMINATE
We all have equal rights. Okay?
We all have the right to believe in what ever we want. Right? Right...
But, this rights are okay for al long as they do not affect another person's right to the same rights. Right? Right...
My point is that if a person has the right to refuse a gay lodger in their house? why would some people try to force the landlord to try and not discriminate... when in fact that person has the right to who he allows in his yard?
Why is hard to swallow when you hear so called chistians and muslims say that other beliefs (especially in ancestors) are evil working with evil spirits?
I am not saying it is right to discriminate, but if we are to try and live together, and understand each other, is it then not to also try and understand those who disagree with us? We do not have to be in teh same space as them. Why would anyone want to be in the same space as people who think that what they do is evil is beyond me... but it happenes.

IS AFRICA REALLY FREE?
Is Africa really free? Politically free? Financially free?
Did we sell our souls in oder to be accepted in international grounds?
Some doctore in economics said that we receuve foreing aid in exchange of other things. There are conditions... some being that we have to spend it on buying goods from that country... or give that country preference to trade in our country.
So really? How free can we ever be? When some of our countries' financial budget rely heavily on foreign aid.

NO 50/50 IN RELATIONSHIP...
Most of us fantasize of being equal partners, and in theory it may be so. And from the on lookers it may appear so. But the 2 people no that they are never equally 50/50. the power may shift.
One person does not dominate through out. Otherwise it leaves one vulnurable to any abuse.
also, even though there is no 50/50, the gap should never be extremely wide. It should be somthing where the 2 can be compatible.
But there is never 50/50. Come to think of it... it probably does not even exist between business partners. One is always more resourcefull and needed... and the powers may vary... but never 50/50.

MILLION MAN MARCH
The south africa million march was to stand up against violence. A good thing indeed. Even though less than 10 thousand people were there, atleast they were there.
the day chosen was not an easy one for many... we were working.
And then, I would like to know if the foreigners were there too. After all this violence also affect them.
But next time, perhaps it should tie in with a holiday (We have millions of them here is South Africa)

WESTERN PROMISES... ARE THEY BOUND?
WESTERN PROMISES... ARE THEY BOUND?
I read the paper that trevor Manuel wants to hold the 1st world countires accountable for the promoses they have made towards South Africa.
Do they really have to keep their promises?
For how long will those countries owe Africa for what tey did to it?
Is it not time Africa stood on its feet... made its own money and monopolised itself?
Mugabe is still crying for what was promised. And he thinks more is owed. But it seems that promises are made when the time to say them is perfect.
are there conditions to these promises? Conditions which are kept away from the curious minds like mine?
We only fed a promise but not the premise?
But, shoot me if you must... but I feel it is time we stood on our own.

In love .... what?
In love… what?
Okay, a bit of thinking again. Do we really just fall in love or do we find ourselves with people who just make it easy to be loved. Laugh at our. I was blessed with such. What I believe mad me crazy was the fact that somebody understood me. Understood the dry sense of humour that I have. Saw the joke in my sarcasm. Drank as much alchohol as I did and discussed existentialism…. Never mind the fact that we failed 3rd year of Philosophy.
So what happens when we fall in love? Is it somebody who somehow embodies all the qualities of friends we had when we were younger? Somebody who at some level reminds us of that particular sexy lady who one would catch a glimpse of every time she stepped off the train. In that spantsula outfit, and them high heels and … yeah… you know the first person you appreciated at level that was unusual.
Before I mumble further, I have forgotten the purpose of this topic.
But, I would like to know about that lady… please, do tell about how you would miss out on McGyver and The A Team, just to see her…

Mbeki the coward?
Can we say our president is making decissions that are just too hard to compreehend.
the decissions he has been maing lately seem as if somebody is pulling his strings. Like another power game is at play.
Will this not harm the ANC? Will this not harm democracy as we have grown accustomed to it?
Praises have to be hurled towards those who are in favour of the string pullers, and criticism and the butter is pulled away from the person.
Did the president not say that the next president could be a woman? he was so lambasted for that view. And now the only name that seem to be getting showved in our midst is that of jacob Zuma. Whether he will make good presiden or not... if the power people want him there... there he shall be. Unless the people vote for another party.

POWERFUL WOMEN
I decided to do a research on powerful women o f South Africa... the one name that kept popping up was that of Dr Anna Mokgokong. So I though it qwould do me best to read more about the woman.
This lady is hardly ever in the media, and so are like many powerful women like her.
Although Felicia Mabuza Subtle is in the media... I never knew of her millions... her multiple business alliance.
With so many powerful women in South Africa, why would people need to look outside for motivation?
There is Wendy Luhabe, Nana Ditodi (no personal information about this woman) Mboya Sowazi, Aquina Thulare, and we all know Naledi pandor...
Whata powerful country we have.
